We all understand the health benefits of regular exercise to overall health. And studies continue to show that those health benefits include long lasting improvements like reducing the risk of some cancers, increased longevity, enhancing mood, lowering blood pressure. That’s why getting fit always lands on the top ten list of New Year’s Resolutions.
So as you get ready to let the meditative powers of yoga take you away, or spin your way to a healthier you, use these style rules to keep you looking great while you get fit.
Start from the bottom and work your way up. The key to any good fitness regimen is the shoes. Get to the nearest fitness store and find the performance shoe that will best fit your needs. Whether you’ll be cycling or joining a fitness boot camp, a great shoe is key to a great workout. Isn’t that always the case?!
Purchase a two-color shoe. Based on your color analysis select a shoe in a color that looks best on you in combination with a neutral color. This will give you more options as you build your fitness wardrobe. I have a pair of Nike running shoes that are black and hot pink. I can mix and match black pants, hot pink shorts and shades of tops, jackets and sweat-shirts in pink, black and dark grey.
Build your workout wardrobe around your shoe. For example, if your shoe is black and blue, purchase workout pants and tops in those colors. This will make it easy for you to mix and match them and turn a few key items into several workout options.
Purchase a great gym or workout bag. Choose a bag that is durable, light-weight and roomy. Write down your must haves for the gym. The list might include a towel, bottle of water, and weight gloves. Once the list is complete make sure your bag can easily accommodate all the things that you need. Also select a darker color which will hide stains.
Get moving! Now that you look great, let your workout wardrobe inspire you to make life changes that will help you meet your physical goals. The results will be increased energy and an improved attitude to tackle the rest of the goals on your list for 2017.
